Healthcare Design Conference + Expo is the premier event serving the healthcare design industry. The annual gathering is produced by a team of content and education experts at Emerald, publisher of Healthcare Design magazine, in association with the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health and other industry association contributors.

Devoted to how the design of built environments directly impacts the safety, operation, clinical outcomes, and financial and experiential success of healthcare facilities, both now and into the future, the four-day event is driven by a robust conference program.

That program is developed by professionals who are immersed in the design of healthcare environments and champions for promoting better environments to serve the needs of patients, family members, staff, and the greater community.

This conference is the most comprehensive in the industry, offering attendees a multidisciplinary learning event that spans a variety of educational formats. Attendees benefit from access to the latest and best educational content in healthcare design, delivered from thought leaders and innovators within the field.

Educational Sessions are one hour in length and classroom style, with at least 45 minutes of speaking and time for Q+A. The attendance in educational sessions may range from 50-250 people. All sessions must qualify for continuing education credits from both AIA and IDCEC.

Roundtable Discussions are designed to provide attendees with focused, yet more informal interactive programming on a specific area of interest. Speakers will open with a brief presentation and encourage group conversation around the topic. Attendance in roundtable discussions may range from 20-45 people and are also one hour in length. All sessions must qualify for continuing education credits from both AIA and IDCEC.

Deep Dive Sessions are 2 hours and 15 minutes in length and support both a classroom and workshop environment, based on the speakers’ goals. These immersive sessions are highly focused and support attendees in unpacking complex topics and walking away with a better understanding of how to implement solutions. Attendance in deep dives may range from 20-45 people. All sessions must qualify for continuing education credits from both AIA and IDCEC.
